Welcome to the Teacher Reading and Language Pages!

ReadTennessee.org is a joint project designed to allow teachers, families and community members to work together for the benefit of young children throughout the state of Tennessee. Teachers can start here to find valuable information, videos, lesson plans and units, explore a variety of websites with information that is critical to teachers, as well as accessing lessons that can be applied to classrooms.

The Teacher Toolkit website connects users to the vast array of materials that are available through Reading and Language Arts resource networks.

The Common Core State Standards Initiative was developed in collaboration with teachers, school administrators, and experts to provide a clear and consistent framework to prepare children for college and the workforce.

This website provides a “toolkit” which will help you understand the best practices in language and literacy for young children. Language and literacy are the bases of everything to bel learned in an early childhood setting.
