Out-of-School Program Resources

Additional learning opportunities outside regular school day can be provide enormous benefits for young learners, both for those on/above grade level and those who might experience difficulties. This page includes a collection of resources that will be helpful for an out-of school provider, be it a school-based program, a community-based program, a private provider, a volunteer tutor, or anyone who is committed to helping young learners after school, on weekends, or during school breaks. Many of our resources came from the US DOE Doing What Works online collection of research-based education practices, Increased Learning Time: Beyond the Regular School Day.
