Nancy Duggin

Nancy taught for twenty-four years and was Tennessee’s first teacher to achieve National Board Certification (NBC) by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS).
She is a certified reading specialist and has extensive training and experience in dyslexia, struggling readers, gifted readers, reading across the curriculum, multi-sensory instruction and differentiated instruction. Nancy is a certified LETRS trainer (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling). She works with students and teachers prek - adulthood.
Nancy is a NBCT consultant and part of the NBPTS faculty. In addition to her background in reading, she works with districts in the area of school improvement, teacher evaluation and parental engagement. She is a free-lance writer and writes concerning parenting and educational issues.
