Dr. Mary Lou Witherspoon

Dr. Witherspoon is a professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Austin Peay State University. During her tenure at APSU, she has worked with preservice and inservice elementary, middle school, and high school mathematics teachers. Dr. Witherspoon has held leadership positions in Middle Tennessee Mathematics Teachers', Tennessee Mathematics Teachers' Association, and Tennessee Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators. A major focus of interest for her is curriculum development, from number concepts in early grades to a problem-solving approach for college algebra.
