Mary Alibrandi
Mary Alibrandi is currently on educational leave from Metro Nashville Public Schools, where she served as a Reading First literacy leader and a presenter at district and regional conferences for Reading First since 2004. She has also had the opportunity to work as a reviewer for the National Council on Teacher Quality in Washington, D.C. Prior to that, Mrs. Alibrandi worked as a resource teacher and Title I/Reading Recovery teacher in MNPS since 1997. She received a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and International Studies from the University of Miami and a Masters Degree in Special Education from the University of Arizona, specializing in Language, Literacy, and Learning Disabilities. Mrs. Alibrandi enjoys helping schools implement research-based practices to help students achieve success in reading and empowering teachers to meet the individual needs of all students.
