Dr. Kelli S. Welborn

2nd grade teacher at Joseph Rogers Primary

 Dr. Kelli Welborn, 2nd grade teacher at Joseph Rogers Primary School in Hawkins County, has eighteen years of teaching experience with the last seven in the primary grades. Over the last eighteen years, she has held a variety of school-level leadership positions and served on a variety of committees. In addition to teaching full-time, she currently gives lectures and speaks at conferences on leadership. A vignette she recently wrote was published in the book The American Public School Teacher: Past, Present & Future. She is passionate about issues surrounding Parent/Family Engagement in Education. When she is not pursuing educational activities, she spends time with her two young daughters, writes and travels.
