Etta Crittenden is the Director of Early Elementary Instruction for Tennessee Department of Education, Division of School Reading and Early Learning. Etta has served the Department of Education for the past 10 years in various roles in teaching and learning. Her duties have included Reading and Mathematics Consultant for Primary Grades, as well as Literacy Specialist. Etta has over 20 years’ classroom experience in the primary grades, as well as currently teaches undergrad courses in reading instruction to pre-service teachers at Free Will Baptist Bible College in Nashville, TN. Etta has presented at state and regional conferences on topics in both reading and mathematics instruction.
