Dan received his Masters in Mathematics and PhD in Mathematics Education at the University of Missouri – Columbia after teaching high school mathematics for six years. He currently teaches in the Division of Mathematics and Computer Sciences at Maryville College in Maryville, TN. He helps students prepare to teach mathematics at all levels, from kindergarten through high school. He is especially interested in the design of mathematics curriculum and textbooks to support student learning.
